Going Pink.

So Today is October 1st. The start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The month is kinda hitting home here at the moment. My friend and co-worker Heather is battling on with this disease. She is a serious trooper.

I have only gotten to work with her for just a little bit of time before she felt a bit weak, and decided to keep getting her treatments, and staying home to keep up her energy.

I miss her. I am glad to be able to keep up with her life through Facebook and whispers of co-workers who get to talk to her on the phone. But it just felt very real and just take a step back and just give a bit to the cause.

So for the month of October, my blog will be pink.

Please get tested, self exam, mammogram, what ever. just don't sit there. spread the word, help a girl friend out - tell her to self exam, drive her to her mammogram appointment. just dont sit there and let this take over... do something.
